NEW GENERAL STORE is an online store for young-fashioned ways. We are new and offer unique products, many not available anywhere else.
SECURITY: We use the highest quality online secure-transaction system available, Verisign. You can be assured that using a credit card on our site is as safe as it gets. We also take our policies of privacy and permission-based marketing very seriously. We never sell or provide your information to anyone else - period. We partner with only the finest companies. SHOPPING/CART: You can place items in your shopping cart by clicking "Add to Cart". Once in the cart you can edit the amounts and sizes (where appropriate). If you wish to ship to more than one address, you will need to enter these as separate orders currently. Because we are concerned about fraud, you can only ship to the billing address of your credit card. You may contact your credit card company and request an additional address (for one day) and use that to send your order to a separate address. We do not maintain a cookie on your order to keep "wish lists" or your other ordering information.
TRADITIONAL SHOPPING: If you would rather, you can mail in your order by supplying the information requested in the order area of the site along with your payment. Purchase a money order for the total amount due and send it to us with all the order information, including size if required.If you are paying with a check, it will take approximately three days to clear through the bank before your order is processed. We are beginning to offer our items through retail outlets and you might find them in a store near you soon. If you would like to suggest an outlet, please write or call.

SHIPPING/HANDLING: We have been able to reduce our shipping costs and these savings have been passed on to our customers. 50 cents
is added to each item to pay for the fulfillment process of packaging
and double-checking your order. Shipping rates are based on Priority
Mail service from the US Postal Service.

8 items or more = free shipping!
TAX: We are required to charge Connecticut State Sales Tax on all items sold to residents of Connecticut, USA. Currently this is 6%. However, clothing that costs $50 or less is exempt.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES: If Merchandise is in resellable condition (i.e. not worn, washed etc) and returned within 10 days, we will gladly accept returns and refund or exchange it for equal value. If merchandise arrives to you damaged, we want to know and will refund or exchange appropriately. Shipping and handling is non-refundable on returns, however we will pay for outbound shipping charges for exchanges.We are interested in maintaining good customer service and the highest quality standards.
